Join our small, but dedicated team at Society of Saint Vincent de Paul as a Property Management Administrator! In this role, you’ll be instrumental in supporting the Property Manager by handling various administrative tasks, fostering positive tenant relations, coordinating maintenance, and assisting in daily operations. Your contributions will help ensure our properties run smoothly and provide a safe, supportive environment for our tenants.
THESE SKILLS AND ABILITIES WILL HELP YOU THRIVE:
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skill
- Proficiency in MS Office/Teams and experience with property management software, or similar database.
- High level of organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and with competing priorities.
- Working knowledge of the Residential Tenancy Act is preferred.
- Knowledge of the BC Housing Registry would be highly beneficial.
- Experience or understanding of trauma-informed service, with a focus on creating a safe and supportive environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- A criminal record check including a Ministry of Justice Vulnerable Sector Clearance Letter is required prior to hiring.
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a point of contact for tenant inquiries, requests and complaints, offering timely and effective resolutions with kindness and compassion.
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, lease agreements, and property documents.
- Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up with vendors and contractors to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Prepare correspondence including renewal requirements, caution notices and eviction notices.
- Assist with property inspections including coordinating the completion of maintenance work orders.
- Manage and maintain the property database, including upkeep of maintenance schedules, monitoring projects, overseeing residential turnover, and ensuring all property data is accurate and current for efficient property operations.
- Conduct annual income reviews, process rent/subsidy changes and implement rent increases per BC Housing and RTA guidelines.
- Perform all necessary functions to facilitate Residential Tenant move-in/move-out procedures.
- Assist in the collection of rent and other fees as necessary and monitor accounts for delinquencies.
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls and emails.
- Other related duties as assigned.
