Description:

We are offering an opportunity for a Property Manager in the real estate industry, located in Hampton, Virginia. This role is primarily focused on managing residential properties and involves tasks such as processing tenant applications, maintaining accurate records, and resolving tenant inquiries. This job presents a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the processing of tenant applications with efficiency and accuracy
  • Manage residential properties, ensuring smooth operations and tenant satisfaction
  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date tenant and property records
  • Handle tenant inquiries promptly, providing excellent customer service
  • Work with accounting-related tasks such as matching and coding of invoices
  • Perform data entry tasks for invoices, rents, and bills
  • Manage interactions with tenants, ensuring professional and effective communication
  • Handle additional paperwork related to tax credits
  • Work with income restrictions and tax credits for properties
  • Learn and adapt to the use of Property Management software for efficient operations
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry.
  • Proven experience in Property Management and Residential Property Management.
  • Proficient in Code Invoices, Enter Invoices, and Data Entry.
  • Familiarity with Section 8 housing regulations and guidelines.
  • Proven ability to manage and oversee property operations to ensure smooth running and resolve tenant issues.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with tenants, maintenance teams, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Strong financial acumen to manage property budgets and improve profitability.
  • Valid real estate license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
