Description:
JOB SUMMARY
Endress+Hauser is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Proposal Engineer to join our team.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced proposals engineer who will produce detailed customer proposals for large instrument, fiscal metering and process analytical solutions.
Working with our Sales, Projects and Solutions departments, the Proposals Engineer will be responsible for preparing comprehensive technical and commercial proposals for our clients ensuring alignment with customer requirements, and supporting the sales team throughout the bidding process.
This role requires a combination of technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in proposal engineering, sales engineering, or a related field within the industrial automation or process engineering industry.
- Strong understanding of process instrumentation and automation solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed and accurate technical and commercial proposals based on customer specifications and requirements.
- Analyse customer inquiries and RFQs to determine the scope of work and required resources.
- Collaborate with the sales team, product managers, and engineering departments to gather necessary information for proposal development.
- Ensure all proposals comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential challenges in project execution.
- Provide technical support and clarification to customers during the proposal and negotiation stages.
- Maintain and update proposal documentation and templates to reflect the latest product offerings and pricing strategies.
- Participate in bid review meetings and provide feedback for continuous improvement.
- Track and manage proposal deadlines to ensure timely submission.
- Assist in post-proposal activities, including customer follow-ups and contract negotiations.
