ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Federal Proposal Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Federal Proposal Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the development of winning proposals for federal government contracts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to create compelling proposals that meet client requirements and showcase our capabilities. This role requires strong project management skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, English, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in federal proposal management, ideally within a technical solutions company or the DoD.
  • In-depth understanding of federal government procurement processes, including FAR and DFAR regulations.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals concurrently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software (e.g., GovWin, Privia).
  • Certification in proposal management (e.g., APMP) is a plus.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proven track record of successfully winning federal government contracts through effective proposal development.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance (if required by the position).

Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Leadership: Lead the end-to-end proposal development process for federal government contracts, ensuring compliance with solicitation requirements and deadlines.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical teams, and other stakeholders to develop proposal outlines, win themes, and content that effectively address client needs.
  • Proposal Strategy: Develop and execute strategic approaches for each proposal, including competitive analysis, pricing strategy, and risk management.
  • Proposal Writing and Editing: Write, edit, and review proposal content to ensure clarity, coherence, compliance, and persuasiveness.
  • Proposal Production: Oversee the production of high-quality proposal documents, ensuring formatting, graphics, and presentation meet industry standards and client expectations.
  • Proposal Review Process: Coordinate and manage the proposal review process, incorporating feedback from internal and external reviewers to strengthen proposals.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure proposals adhere to all solicitation requirements, company standards, and federal regulations. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to proposal development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
