THE ROLE:

As a Protection Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role within our team, it is busy, and we’re growing!

Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and evaluate all protection and control scheme designs and configurations.
• Ensuring resilience and risk management are at a sustainable level.
• Identify, gather and review incidents to assess the effectiveness of the protection and control schemes.
• Providing technical expertise on protection and control requirements.
• Develop protection and control design maintenance standards
• Develop protection schemes.
• Develop relay configuration.
• Design and oversee protection settings.
• Ensure detailed and technical protection reports are written and provided in a timely manner

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

• An appropriate tertiary-level qualification in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of industry experience in protection engineering
• The ability to run protection projects alongside clients
• Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices
• Competency in auditing, root cause analysis, and risk management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
