Description:

The Prototype Specialist is responsible for prototyping of high quality and accurate liquid dispensing equipment used in laboratories around the world. Our main tools are manual milling machines and lathes and CNC lather, but also possibly various machining centers, as well as other equipment in our prototype shop.
We are looking for a Prototype Specialist for the Product Development department at Sartorius Helsinki. In this role, you will be responsible for prototyping of high quality and accurate liquid dispensing equipment used in laboratories around the world. Our main tools are manual milling machines and lathes and CNC lather, but also possibly various machining centers, as well as other equipment in our prototype shop.
The Product Development team in Helsinki consists of 25 professionals but we are an international team working in a project organization. We are looking forward to shaping the future with you. This position is available for full–time and based on site in Helsinki.

Responsibilities:

  • Prototyping of high-quality liquid dispensing equipment used in laboratories around the world. Many of our products contain very small and precise fine mechanical parts.
  • Assembling and finishing of prototypes with necessary special processing.
  • The creation of CAM programs for CNC lathe would be an advantage.
  • Designing your own fixture, jigs and tools for prototyping and machining, if required.
  • Product design according to your abilities and desires.
