Description:
The Adult Community Eating Disorder team is a multi-disciplinary team comprised of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) Therapists, Psychiatrists, Nurses, Dietitians, Social Worker, Assistant Psychologists, Community Support Workers and team Administrators. The service provides an integrated formulation-based model tailored to the needs of adults with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder as well as those with comorbid mental health problems and their carers. The service offers excellent opportunities for supervision, service development, service evaluation and research, teaching and training including CBT-e (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy). We have good supervision and operational structures and an excellent track record of CPD (Clinical and Professional Development), as well as good links with Oxford University, particularly with the Doctoral Programme in Clinical Psychology.
The service is also committed to evidence-based and evidence generating practice and you will have the opportunity to be part of service evaluation and Quality Improvement. The post is based at the Warneford Hospital, Oxford but we provide a service across the whole of Oxfordshire. Our service provides a stepped-care model tailored to the needs of adults with a primary diagnosis of an eating disorder as well as those with co-morbid mental health problems and their carers. We offer a range of evidence-based treatments for eating disorders, such as CBT-E, MANTRA, CBT-T, guided self-help for Binge eating disorder and Bulimia, SSCM (Specialist Supportive Clinical Management) and deliver these within the community.
