Clinical Psychologist
Schedule: Casual, 4+ hours/week

TELUS Health is seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in pediatric care to join our Children Support Clinic in Mississauga, Ontario. Our multidisciplinary clinic delivers evidence-based interventions to maximize the potential of neurodivergent children and youth.
The Impact You’ll Make
As an independent contractor providing in-person counselling, you will support children, adolescents, and their families managing neurodevelopmental disorders such as ASD, ADD/ADHD, and global developmental delays.
By closely collaborating with families, you will help build a solid foundation for each child’s healthy development. Using evidence-based modalities, you will offer comprehensive mental health services tailored to neurodivergent children and adolescents. Your expertise in individual and group counselling will address the unique needs of our pediatric clients. Together, we will create positive outcomes and maximize each child’s potential.

Here’s How

  • Therapeutic Services: Provide evidence-based psychotherapy, counselling, and consultation to children and youth with various neurodivergent needs and their families.
  • Mental Health Support: Address coexisting concerns such as anxiety, depression, and accessibility issues through targeted counselling techniques.
  • Treatment Adaptation: Modify treatment activities and approaches to meet individual client needs and continuously monitor the impact of interventions through a data-driven approach.
  • Collaborative Care: Work closely with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Psychology, Counselling, or a related health field.
  • Registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) to work with children and adolescents.
  • Professional liability insurance.
  • Experience in conducting formal and informal assessments, including psychological consultations to assess personality, emotional functioning, and intellectual, cognitive, and academic levels.
  • Demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for working within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Clear vulnerable sector check is required.
  • Minimum of 4 hours per week of availability, with a preference for evening and weekend hours.
