ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

SWSLHD is seeking a dedicated, driven and supportive Psychologist to join the Drug Health Youth Services team.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven clinical assessment and clinical judgment skills and be a true patient advocate. Your analytical abilities will reflect strongly in client treatment plans and you will be dedicated to working with clients, service providers and their families to work through the challenges of receiving. You will be a skilled problem solver who has strong analytical skills. Your critical thinking will form the basis of your clinical assessments and you will be well versed in understanding the requirement of work within the community.
Your experience in Psychology will ensure you can provide a high standard of evidence-based care for clients. To deliver evidence-based psychological assessments and interventions in order to address the needs of consumers who are living with a wide range of behavioural and emotional disorders.
The role also participates in the evaluation of clinical outcomes of services and assists in the development and provision of education and training programs. Additionally, the role supervises Psychologists and other disciplines working within the LHD according to organisational needs.
