POSITION DESCRIPTION
Surrey Place is seeking a Psychologist II to support our Adult Services and Services for Partners and Organizations Department. Reporting to the Manager, Adult Services, the Psychologist II works as part of an interdisciplinary team and provides psychological services to adults with developmental disabilities. Services provided include but are not limited to assessment, psychotherapy, consultation, research, education, clinical supervision, and advocacy. This position will be a hybrid position with a flexible schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- PhD or Psy D in Psychology; Registered as a Psychological Associate may be considered
- Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario
- 5+ years of clinical experience, post-registration, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical interviewing, diagnosis and formulation, consultation; knowledge of typical and atypical lifespan development; knowledge of specialized interventions for adults with developmental disabilities; experience with a broad range of psychometric tools and principles; and statistical knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience working with adults, and experience participating on an interdisciplinary team.
- Experience with neuropsychological assessment tools is an asset.
- Ability to work with individuals across the lifespan is an asset.
- Leadership skills and proven experience in mentoring and developing staff and students.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills.
- Ownership or access to a vehicle would be an asset.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- The successful candidate must provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Screening, and proof of being fully vaccinated for Covid-19
- Fluency in a second language is considered an asset.

Responsibilities:
- Provide psychological assessments and interventions, written reports, feedback, and recommendations for adults with developmental disabilities.
- Work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide both assessment and treatment services.
- Provide consultation regarding psychological services to individuals, families, partner agencies, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Provide psychological supervision and mentorship to staff, interns/residents, and/or early career psychologists.
- Assist in promoting business development by taking part in our fee for service initiatives aimed at identifying and developing business opportunities with other agencies.
- Enhance process efficiency through managing waitlists, leading team meetings, and translating management directives to be implemented by the team.
- Some travel required.
- Additional duties may include: creating and/or presenting educational materials, collaborating with our government ministries or program development.
