Description:

New Heights School & Learning Services runs a unique specialized program tailored to neurodivergent students with autism spectrum disorder, or with similar learning differences. New Heights is a play-based program that utilizes the strengths and interests of each student to address developmental goals. We are currently looking for one Registered Psychologist (0.5-0.6) for our school program (Gr 1-12).
As part of a multidisciplinary team, this position will include providing intervention, counselling and consultation services in the school with an emphasis on perspective taking and interpersonal relationships. This is a part time position for the 2024-2025 school year.

Qualifications:

  • Professional registration with the College of Alberta Psychologists (Provisional registered psychologists welcome)
  • Current professional liability insurance
  • Experience working with neurodivergent children/youth/young adults
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to be self-directed, flexible, highly motivated and to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
