Description:

Overview:
The Psychology Associate II will assist Psychologists in providing clinical services, supervision, and case management for in/outpatient cases as specified by the director of the outpatient clinic or department head. The incumbent will collaborate with department staff and supervisors, as well as other Institute departments as needed. This position will support Behavioral Psychology staff as well as participate in programs of systematic research.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical services to include developing and implementing treatment plans, monitor patient progress; maintain patients’ files through timely documentation.
  • Provide clinical supervision and case management of outpatients.
  • Provide supportive clinical services to families of outpatients.
  • Participate in research projects involving the assessment and treatment of behavior disorders.
  • Provide support and training for Brief Treatment Clinic trainees and staff, as assigned.
  • Participate in administrative, clinical and training meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Approval from the Maryland Board of Examiners of Psychologists to practice as a “Registered Psychology Associate” required.
  • Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred.

EDUCATION:

  • Master’s degree in psychology required.
  • Degree in applied behavior analysis or a related field is highly desirable.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum five years of experience in a multi-disciplinary setting dealing with typical and neurodiverse children is required.
  • Minimum two years of experience providing behavior analysis assessment and treatments required.
  • Experience conducting research and communicating research findings via professional conferences, peer reviewed journals, seminars, etc required.
