This superb Crawley Secondary is on the hunt for an exceptional Psychology Teacher to join their team starting in September 2023. As a Psychology Teacher at this school, you’ll have the opportunity to work with an outstanding team of teachers who are dedicated to enhancing the learning outcomes of their students.
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Psychology Teacher who will inspire and educate our students in the fascinating world of psychology. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of psychological concepts and theories, and the ability to effectively communicate these ideas to students.

The Schools Psychology team currently consists of 16 psychology teachers with an HLTA specifically for supporting in Psychology lessons and providing intervention. They are lucky to have 13 purpose-built full-size psychology laboratories, all with interactive whiteboard, projector, and teacher’s PC. The psychology department is extremely well-resourced and benefits from the expertise of 4 experienced lab technicians. The School is a modern building with lots of natural light and provides an environment conducive to positive and productive learning.
They aim to provide every student in our care with the opportunity to master the fundamentals of psychology, teaching our own KS3 schemes of work alongside the Pearson working scientifically resources. These have been carefully created to provide fun and interesting lessons that are challenging and provide a good foundation for further studies in psychology.
The psychology faculty is a passionate and forward-thinking team. Our priority is to give our students the best possible chance of success while instilling in them a passion and love for psychology. The psychology faculty enjoys socializing as a team.
We are looking to appoint someone who…
- Is an excellent teacher with the ability to stretch, inspire, enthuse, and engage learners.
- Will lead in providing first-class teaching and learning for our students.
- Has experience of teaching psychology across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Has either experience of or a desire to teach psychology at Key Stage 5.
The School has excellent support for ECTs and would welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who would like to grow and develop in an innovative and forward-thinking department. They have a detailed ECT training package praised by West Sussex and actively encourage CPD throughout the school with a comprehensive program for teachers at all stages of their careers.
