Our innovative practice model allows our providers to focus on patient care while our administrative teams provide full support handling credentialing, care coordination, billing, collections, contracting, quality improvement, collaborative care services and marketing. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working collaboratively to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients - from newborns to adolescents and contribute to our ongoing work in behavioral health integration.The Psychometrist works as an integral part of the multidisciplinary clinics, and acts as a critical support to the child/family and psychologists by administering and scoring psychological and neuropsychological tests under the supervision of a clinical psychologist. The position work with a variety of tests that measure intelligence, aptitude, personality, and cognitive functioning order to assess and evaluate liaison between the child/family and physicians and other medical/therapy staff, in order to facilitate understanding of the child’s developmental needs and emotional, social, and behavioral functioning. Candidates must have an advanced knowledge of mental illness and behavioral health. Strong communication skills are needed to interact with patients, patient’s family members, consultants, residents, hospital personnel, community agencies, and other resources.Duties and Essential Job Functions:• Administer Psychological Tests: Conduct standardized psychological assessments to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.• Score and Interpret Results: Accurately score test results and interpret data to provide insights for diagnosis and treatment planning.• Schedule Consultations: Organize and schedule testing sessions, ensuring the environment is conducive to accurate testing.• Inform Clients: Explain the purpose and process of each testing session to clients, ensuring they understand what to expect.• Document Observations: Record detailed behavioral observations during testing to aid in the interpretation of results.• Compile Reports: Create comprehensive reports summarizing test findings and their implications for the supervising psychologist.• Maintain Testing Standards: Ensure adherence to standardized testing protocols and make minor adaptations to tests when necessary• Provide Client Feedback: Debrief clients on their test results and provide feedback as required.• Manage Administrative Tasks: Handle scheduling, billing, and coding related to psychological assessments.• Ensure Test Security: Maintain the accuracy, security, and availability of testing materials and dataEducation/ License or certification• A minimum of 3 years experience. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field is required, Master’s degree preferred. Certification as a Certified Psychometrist also preferred and can substitute for years of experience.Qualifications:• Experience and skill working with pediatric patients at risk for and/or diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.• Ability to provide mental health assessments• Specialized training/experience with assessment and treatment planning• of diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders. Advanced study of mental health assessments.• Knowledge of regulations and laws relating to clinical psychology/social work practices.• Ability to fill out and maintain client-related paperwork, including federal and state mandated forms, client diagnostic records, and progress reports and maintains confidentiality of patient records• Knowledge of community mental health service delivery systems and other resources.• Ability to work sensitively with variety of personalities.• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with families, colleagues (e.g. physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other team members), community agencies, etc.• Understanding of principles of legal documentation and medical records release of information.• Counsels with patient and family and may involve community resources. May make home visits as needed• Working knowledge of basic computer software programs: MS Office and EMR.
