Psychometrist Job Opportunity
POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate psychometrist to join our dedicated team. This position offers a unique opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about working in paediatrics, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and has a strong desire for professional growth and skill development. Under the direction and supervision of a registered psychologist, the psychometrist will carry out developmental, cognitive and neuropsychological assessments of children ranging in age from preschool to late adolescence. strong applicant is high energy, has a positive attitude and a passion for helping children and families. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master¿s or Baccalaureate Degree in Psychology (clinical ¿ developmental preferred)
- Course work and previous clinical experience in administering and scoring psychometric measures with children and adolescents.
- Knowledge of child and adolescent psychosocial development and psychopathology.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Strong proficiency in psychological assessment with children and adolescents.
- Experience in working with paediatric mental health concerns is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with members of a multidisciplinary team.
- Evidence-based practice.
- Utilizes critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills to interact with children and adults.
- Efficient time management and organizational skills required.
- Ability to flexibly respond to continually changing program demands.

Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments exploring a wide range of learning, attention and/or mental health needs.
- Responsible for administering and scoring psychological measures of children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
- Generate clinical summaries and reports of psychometric results in order to provide feedback to the assessing psychologist and the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide observations relevant for interpretation of assessment results and offer recommendations for intervention.
- Works closely with psychologists and provides consultation throughout assessment process.
- Follow an evidence-based approach to assessment.
- Manage a varied caseload and meet required timelines.
- Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record system.
- Participate in on-going and emerging clinical projects as required.
- Part-time and full-time position available. Opportunity to work on weekends if interested.
