Description:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy Assistant program.
  • 2 years’ experience in a related clinical setting.
  • Ability to perform lifts and transfers with complex needs clients required.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis an asset
  • Knowledge of equipment, adaptive devices and standardized tests.
  • Knowledge of basic word processing programs.
  • Well-developed communication skills including verbal, non-verbal, listening.
  • Ability to collaborate with other team members.
  • Ability to use therapeutic splinting materials.
  • Ability to use audio/video recorders/augmentative communication devices.
  • Ability to set priorities and time management.
  • Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle, or appropriate transportation.
    This position is a member of the bargaining unit which is represented by the Ontario Public Service Employees Union, and as such will be bound under the terms of the collective agreement.
