Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Senior Public Health Data Analyst will support the client by leading efforts in daily monitoring, data collection, and management related to public health misinformation and disinformation. This role requires deep expertise in tracking public health trends and misinformation and synthesizing this data to guide public health communication strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Public Health, Data Science, Epidemiology, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in public health data analysis, monitoring, or communication roles.
- Proven experience in managing and analyzing complex datasets for public health programs.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in misinformation and disinformation management in the public health sector.
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, Tableau).
- Strong experience with data management platforms and systems to maintain data integrity and accessibility.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Lead daily monitoring of data sources related to public health misinformation, disinformation,
- information gaps, and information voids across multiple platforms.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive data tracking files for each monitored topic, ensuring timely updates and accurate data management.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, themes, and insights that impact public health communication.
- Manage and oversee the integration of collected data into centralized data management systems, ensuring compliance with client standards.
- Collaborate with the team and subject matter experts to refine monitoring processes and suggest data-driven recommendations.
- Contribute to monthly reports that summarize monitoring efforts and provide actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
