QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED
A degree and diploma in any subject is acceptable, although English, journalism, media studies and mass communications are preferred. In-house or Agency experience in corporate communications or public relations will be advantageous. Minimum of 2 to 3 years relevant experience is needed for Senior Account Executives and 5 to 7 years for Account Managers.
Responsibilities:
- Pitching and managing media / influencer interviews and queries
- Researching, writing and distributing media kit materials (i.e. press release, fact sheet, speech) to targeted media
- Writing and editing in-house publications, case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports
- Content creation for social media platforms e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
- Monitoring, collating and analysing media/social media coverage
- Organising events such as media/influencer luncheons, media conferences and media tours
- Active support in new business opportunities
- Planning, developing and implementing integrated PR strategies and campaigns (media and social media)
In addition, an Account Manager should be well versed in the following areas
- Managing accounts and overseeing execution of campaigns
- Managing and training a team of executives
