Public Safety Officer

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) Is recruiting a Public Safety Officer to join our Public Safety department.
Safety and Security strives to reduce the risk of hazardous exposure to employees, patients, residents, clients, visitors, and others in the delivery or receipt of health care services; to promote and establish the OSHA Voluntary Protection Program management principles; to develop and provide safety management training for the environment of care; to coordinate services for our injured employees’ healthcare needs and facilitate their return to work.
A typical day will include: Observes, investigates, and reports incidents; checks doors at all facilities which should be secure; observes maintenance alarms, reporting alarms to maintenance personnel present or on-call; constantly checks inside and outside property for safety hazards, reporting to the Director of Safety and Security or Security Supervisor for appropriate action; actively and consistently contributes to Security Department operations and communications; behaves in a manner consistent with mission and objectives of CMH and performs other duties as requested.
The position is: Part-time Days

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required unless extensive successful experience is demonstrated
• License & Certifications: Current Missouri Driver’s license required
• Experience: Minimum age of 21 years required; 3 – 5 years of experience of law enforcement or security preferred
