Responsibilities:
Providence Medical Center (PMC) is looking for an exceptional full time day shift Public Safety/Security Officer to join our Security team. The Safety/Security Officer duties include, but are not limited to:
- performs security services, including electronic surveillance, systematic manual Security Officers’ rounds, and functions of PBX
- coordinates facility response to various potential problems for patients, employees, and visitors
- enforces policy & procedure, ensuring equitable enforcement
- follows guidelines and perpetual monitoring techniques, towards establishing a safe workplace for employees and a safe environment of care
- participates in employee awareness and education
- driving as needed for company business
- other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent, required
- certification from IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety), preferred
- valid driver’s license upon hire and maintained current
- experience in healthcare security or related field, preferred
- current DMV report
