SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Proven track record of generating eye-catching, stand out PR coverage and events, ideally at a trade publishing house
• Detailed working knowledge of PR and strong, established media connections
• Motivated to develop own understanding of the media and the wider children’s book market
• Enthusiasm to find new and innovative ways to promote our books
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, ability to prioritise busy workload

• Being part of a culture of collaboration and communication within the team, divisions, departments and global teams
• Offer support and assistance to the Team Assistant: sharing experience and knowledge of working on a range of titles
• Creative idea generation creative planning; collaborating with other teams to create fully integrated campaigns working closely with marketing, brand and social teams
• Maintain extensive children’s media relations and extensive knowledge of the wider media landscape, across digital and social media
• Maintain strong working relationships journalists, librarians, retailers, festival programmers and key literary gatekeepers with the aim of securing feature and review coverage
• Maintaining and grow publicity media database lists
• Maintaining up to date and detailed documents for own campaigns
• Exemplary author and agent care with regular and prompt communications
