REQUIREMENTS:
- Fitter and Machinist Trade Certification.
- Good Communication skills.
- Capacity to interpret engineering drawings.
- Good knowledge of tools and accessories.
- Basic computer skills. (including mobile devices)
- Comply with company OH&S procedures and policies.
- Be available to work a reasonable amount of overtime if required to complete work schedule.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS :
- Excellent communication skills
- LF / DG License holders are highly regarded.
- Previous experience as fitter/assembler in an engineering workshop working with pumps.
- Experience with pumps.
Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY:
Flowserve Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Pump Fitter / Machinist. The person will be responsible for dismantling, inspection, condition reporting and repair of pumps.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Disassemble, inspect & report condition of pumps and pump components
- Repair / recondition various pump components.
- Clean and repair mechanical seal components.
- Machining of various components as required.
- Assemble + test pumps and rotating equipment to specifications.
- Assemble + test mechanical seal assemblies to specifications.
- Achieve appropriate time frames for work.
