- Proficient with MS Office and CAD/CAM programs
- Fluid dynamics knowledge an asset
- Analytical problem-solving skills
- Basic electrical, temperature and vibration understanding
- The ability to work alone during hydraulic performance testing
- Look at ways of improving hydraulic performance testing to reduce risk, improve KPI performance, speed up test set-up
Education and Experience
- Mechanical Engineering Technology diploma or degree
- Rotating/reciprocating equipment experiences preferred
- The ability to read a hydraulic performance curve is a plu
Responsibilities:
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Review pump data sheet, project-specific requirements, and required documentation in conjunction with Hydraulic Engineering Dept,
- Plan and schedule all pump testing activities in conjunction with the Master Scheduler.
- Schedule and work with our customers requiring testing witness points in conjunction with the QA and PM Dept.
- Develop a plan and layout for pump test set-up requirements necessary to obtain desired results, in conjunction with Test Set-up personnel and Hydraulics Dept.
- Coordinate the calibration of all test equipment in conjunction with the QA Dept and test schedules.
- Conduct all required pump tests as per API 610 & 674 or ANSI and/or project specific requirements, with assistance from Test Set-up personnel.
- Collect, record, analyse all required data points and generate pump curves, all required supporting documentation and test certification.
- Log/file and submit required documentation and maintain test database.
- The ability to read and manipulate hydraulic performance curves
- Responsible for optimizing testing/set-up to improve Pumps Passed Test KPI
- Liaise with the Hydraulic Department and/or Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to remove risk and/or action plan’s to address underperformance on the test stand
- To ensure that the hydraulic performance meets or exceeds customer and/or industry standards / procedures
- Maintain test inventory
- Uploading of hydraulic performance data into latest database tools (PowerApps, Trim Tool)
- Feedback of ‘poor actor’ performance to Hydraulics and Advance Engineering
