JOB INFORMATION
Canda Six Fortune Enterprise Co. Ltd. is one of the leading importers and distributors of Asian food products from the Pacific Rim and other regions of the world. We are currently looking for a Purchase Administrator I to join our Purchasing team in our ON office.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Purchase Administrator I reports to the Offshore Procurement Manager. The ideal candidate will support the inventory planning team in monitoring inbound shipments and communicate closely with the Warehouse Team regarding receiving schedules. Additionally, this role includes providing departmental administrative support, such as data maintenance and compliance checking.
REQUIREMENTS / MUST-HAVES:
- Post-secondary degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred, or a combined 1-2 years of experience in purchasing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating and improving vendor performance.
- High accuracy on job tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to plan, balance, and multi-task based on business needs.
- Ability to listen, take direction, and learn quickly.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines while producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Responsibilities:
- Arrange the weekly schedule for inbound traffic.
- Coordinate with steamship companies, freight forwarders, and trucking companies.
- Manage inter-warehouse stock transfers.
- Coordinate inter-division inventory and IB transfers.
- Enter and maintain data in databases and information systems.
- Arrange and coordinate casual labor as needed for warehouse operations.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, such as supporting departmental projects and processes.
