OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy in data entry, and supporting the accounts payable process. This position requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of financial processes.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role is essential.
- Proficiency in accounting software is required; familiarity with Sage is essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
- Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate records is crucial.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage the purchase ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
- Process invoices and payments, verifying that all documentation is complete and correct.
- Perform data entry tasks with high attention to detail to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist in reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with the finance team to analyse financial data and prepare reports as needed.
- Utilise accounting software such as Sage, to manage financial transactions effectively.
