PURCHASE LEDGER – MATERNITY COVER - IMMEDIATE START

We are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk/Assistant to join our team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months.

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven experience of working within a purchase ledger role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent IT skills. Experience of working with Sage 200 would be beneficial.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Highly organised.
  • Team player.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Checking purchase Invoices - attaching the delivery note to the invoice, checking the prices from the order to the Invoice. Entering the job number and nominal code on the Invoice.
  • Entering the purchase Invoice on the system - checking the correct supplier, costs & delivery.
  • Purchase Invoice queries - liaising with suppliers via phone/email.
  • Checking supplier statements, cross referencing with internal systems.
  • Answering queries on statements and requesting copy invoices.
  • Completing supplier account forms.
  • Add new suppliers onto the system.
  • Preparing suggested payments.
  • Managing the accounts email inbox.
  • Gathering meter readings and uploading to the relevant portals.
  • Agreeing payment dates with suppliers.
  • General Office duties to support the team.
