Description:
Are you ready to advance your career at a company that values precision, growth, and rewarding success? We are looking for an enthusiastic Purchase Ledger Team Leader to join our client’s team in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to grow within a company renowned for promoting from within, investing in their employees, and recognising achievements.
This position requires excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail. The priority is on accuracy and thoroughness, ensuring all necessary checks are completed before processing, rather than focusing on volume. We’re looking for someone who values precision and is willing to take the time to get things right.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Delegate tasks, coach team members, and provide guidance to help them solve problems and grow in their roles.
- Expert Support: Learn and apply knowledge of CIS tax, retentions, and domestic reverse charge to resolve queries and assist your team.
- Problem Solving: Act as the go-to escalation point for supplier issues and complex queries, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions.
- Hands-On Contribution: Take ownership of accounts for specific suppliers, dedicating approximately 30% of your time to these responsibilities.
- Payment Oversight: Prepare weekly BACS payment runs and manage ad hoc faster payments to keep our suppliers satisfied.
- Supplier Maintenance: Oversee the onboarding of new suppliers and ensure existing supplier details are kept up to date.
- Process Improvement: Work closely with the Purchase Ledger Manager to refine and enhance team processes and controls.
- Training: Support and mentor new team members, helping them settle into their roles and understand company processes.
