And do you have a solid approach towards stakeholder management? Then you might be the right candidate for this position as Purchaser within Danfoss Fire Safety A/S.

The work location of this position is in our factory in Odense, Denmark, where you will become part of a team of highly skilled and committed colleagues working closely together.
Danfoss Fire Safety A/S is part of the Danfoss Group and a global leader in the sale, development, production, and service/commissioning of certified fixed firefighting systems under the brand name SEM-SAFE®. Our firefighting systems are based on two key technologies: high-pressure water mist and low-pressure CO2. We are engineering a safer tomorrow for people and assets in buildings, industry, and the marine sector.

BACKGROUND & SKILLS

We are looking for a highly motivated person who takes ownership of their tasks. A high level of pro-activity and thinking outside of the box -, solution mindset is required to succeed in this position. Importantly you have experience within operational/tactical procurement/supply chain (+2-3 years) preferably from the manufacturing industry, having good business insights and process understanding. A technical mind-set would also be preferred. You most likely have a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree within a relevant field of study.

Furthermore, we expect that you are a good communicator and have a high proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, and have the following qualifications and characteristics:

Responsibilities:

As a Purchaser in Danfoss Fire Safety A/S, you will be responsible for tracking the entire ordering process at our suppliers (from placing a Purchase Order to ensuring that the order is being delivered on time with the aim to have as little stock as possible and at the same time ensuring shortest and punctual delivery to our customers).
This is an environment with a high pace and energy level. You need to be able to handle multiple tasks at once and to prioritize your work – procurement being very project-based.

Key responsibilities will be to:

  • Place orders and track the ordering process
  • Monitor and improve Supplier Performance Management
  • Give input to support the team with logistic agreements with suppliers on lead time, MOQ’s and safety stock
  • Ensure that our suppliers have the right capacity to support Danfoss’ growth
  • Support new product development projects and engineering changes
  • Maintain procurement master data in our ERP system (NAV)
