Description:

We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant/Invoicing Specialist for our team in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. This role involves a blend of purchasing and accounting tasks, and is integral to the smooth operation of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling purchasing operations, invoicing, matching purchase orders, and managing accounts payable.
This is a direct hire position and starts 32 hours per week. The schedule can be flexible depending on the candidates needs! It is an in office position.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee purchasing activities within the organization
  • Handle invoicing tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  • Match purchase orders (PO’s) with invoices and record the necessary information
  • Perform accounts payable duties, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, team members, and management
  • Utilize accounting skills to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Act as a point of contact for vendors and suppliers
  • Resolve any arising discrepancies or issues related to purchase orders and invoices
  • Coordinate with the accounting department to ensure all financial data is reconciled
  • Continuously evaluate current purchasing processes and suggest improvements if necessary.

  • Proficiency in handling Accounting Functions.
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes.
  • Strong Communication skills for handling internal and external interactions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in purchasing or a similar role.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make informed and effective decisions.
  • Proficient in using purchasing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices.
  • Working understanding of budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
