Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for centralized requisitioning of goods and services for the organization and serve as a liaison between vendors and staff to purchase necessary items. In addition, there will be some general administrative support for the finance department. The successful candidate must have strong Excel skills and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with a wide variety of staff and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with departments to enter purchase requisitions;
- Update purchasing records, vendor files, and Meditech Item records;
- Process inbound purchasing inquiries and forms submitted by staff and suppliers;
- Monitor and co-ordinate orders and deliveries of goods and services;
- Provide administrative support with department and supplier projects;
- Reconcile VISA statements;
- Generate various reports for programs as requested;
- Attend meetings and record actions/minutes and distribute as needed;
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or administration;
- Proficiency in a variety of software applications including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams
- High attention to detail with the ability to work independently
- Good judgment and discretion when dealing with confidential information
- Knowledge of Meditech Expanse (Materials Management) is a strong asset.
