Description:
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Purchasing Agent based in Miami, Florida. As a Purchasing Agent, you will be instrumental in managing the buying processes and maintaining a strong relationship with vendors. This role involves performing tasks related to procurement, vendor negotiation, and order tracking within the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement processes ensuring efficiency and accuracy
- Negotiate quotes with vendors to ensure optimal pricing and terms
- Adhere to project budgets during procurement and negotiation processes
- Enter and track all outstanding purchase orders, ensuring timely completion
- Utilize Microsoft Excel skills for data entry and tracking
- Use Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions for procurement processes
- Ensure accurate component selection during the buying process
- Provide exceptional customer service during vendor interactions
- Utilize JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and IBM AS/400 in procurement processes
- Leverage ‘About Time’ software for efficient time tracking and management.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar role
- Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
- Familiarity with IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and About Time software
- Demonstrable experience as a Buyer with understanding of buying processes
- Knowledge of component selection processes
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and uphold company standards.
