Job Introduction
As a Purchasing Analyst at Sodexo, you are an insightful analyst and a key contributor to our global supply management team. This role allows you to drive significant impact through your meticulous data analysis and supplier management, ensuring our procurement processes are efficient and effective.
In this position, you will gather and analyse critical category information, support our Data and Finance teams, and engage in supplier liaison activities as well as activities with local buying teams. What you’ll do:
- Collect and analyse data for assigned categories, creating detailed reports.
- Collaborate with the SM Finance and Data teams to ensure robust category performance reporting.
- Maintain a centralised category information database.
- Identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities within the category
- Support Category Directors or Managers in RFI/RFQ and benchmarking exercises
- Engage with suppliers, establish relationships, and handle basic contractual negotiations.
- Manage and set clear objectives, timelines, and KPIs for stakeholder requests.
- Navigate a complex, multi-geographical, and culturally diverse organisation.
- Monitor external markets and supply disruptions.
What you bring:
- Over 5 years of experience in Procurement/Supply Management, particularly in Food categories. Experience with Dairy or Agricultural (Vegetables & Fruits) is a plus
- Degree in accounting, business, sciences, or a related field
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Financial acumen with experience in periodic reporting on savings and benefits
- Excellent IT skills, particularly in Excel; experience with Power BI and Smartsheets is advantageous.
- Experience of utilising data models to support functional outcomes and SQL Query experience would be a benefit.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Fluency in English; additional European language skills are beneficial.
- Proven track record in supplier liaison and basic contract negotiations
- International experience with responsibility in activities involving multiple entities/countries is advantageous.
