Description:

Overview:
Datawatch Systems, Inc. is accepting applications for a full-time Purchasing/Warehouse representative to work in our Bethesda, MD location in the Purchasing and Inventory Department. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. Starting pay is $20/hour plus benefits and paid time off.
Responsibilities:

Inventory duties:

  • Receiving, stock keeping, picking, packing and shipping activities. Also is responsible for over-the-counter orders, and related quality assurance activities. Handle all incoming shipments of equipment, materials, and wire.
  • Perform verification of purchased products.
  • Place received products into proper warehouse storage locations. When appropriate, relocate and consolidate products and notify management of new bon/table locations.
  • Assist to pull, pack, weigh, and label products for shipment.
  • Assist Cycle Counts of physical inventory. Provide inventory control reports as required.
  • Issue products to technicians as required.

Responsibilities:

PURCHASING DUTIES:

  • Research and compare suppliers/vendors (pricing, quality)
  • Manage and execute purchase orders (company’s software: Infor-ISM).
  • Track back orders.
  • Reach out to vendors when needed.
  • Review invoices and approve payment.
  • Collaborate to ship out regional –OOT- work orders.
  • Manage and process RMA’s and Inventory Returns.
  • Continually survey and communicate product availability details to purchasing manager and sales/installation managers.
  • Develop and optimize vendors.
  • Collaborate to develop purchasing strategies with purchasing manager.
