Description:
We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an entry level Purchasing Assistant of a manufacturing company based in Hayward, California. As a Purchasing Assistant, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining purchase orders, data entry, and vendor communication.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately input purchasing information into excel spreadsheets on a regular basis
- Ensure the timely maintenance and entry of purchase orders
- Compile comprehensive purchasing reports as required
- Follow up on vendor invoices and manage purchase order timelines
- Address any delays with vendors promptly and professionally
- Regularly request raw material samples, packaging samples, and pricing from various vendors
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint to manage schedules, correspondence, and data
- Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally and efficiently
- Schedule appointments and meetings as necessary.

- High school diploma; additional certification in Purchasing or relevant field is preferable.
