PURCHASING BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or IMS preferred or equivalent experience required.
• Extensive knowledge of using Power BI, Tableau, JDE and Cognos preferred.
• Data Science experience a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong project management skills.
• Must be detail oriented, possess strong organizational skills, be a strong leader, be team-minded and driven to complete projects.
• Strong analytical skills required.
• Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels within the organization.
• Ability to travel when required

Position is responsible for supporting analytical tools utilized by Corporate Purchasing. All activities in this role are done in support of achieving corporate strategic plans and objectives. Emphasis on cost reduction, productivity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Support business systems from a purchasing perspective, including Power BI, Tableau, JDE, and Cognos. This includes software enhancements, new system functionality, and identification of time savings programs/process improvements.
• Working with purchasing team members to understand information requests and translating those needs into visualizations in Power BI.
• Ongoing maintenance of analytical tools and troubleshooting of data integrity issues between databases and visualization tools.
• Determining ways to utilize systems and visualization programs to support continuous improvement efforts and recommendations for updated methods.
• Ability to understand underlying JDE data, where it comes from, what it means, and how it is used in purchasing.
• Understand department goals and objectives and how they relate to existing and potential new applications.
• Assist with departmental training of new employees.
