JOB SUMMARY

The Purchasing Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other components needed for production. The ideal candidate will collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and R&D to maintain high standards for quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the cosmetics or personal care industry.
  • Skills:
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements for cosmetics (e.g., FDA, EU, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management:
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and lead times.
  • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers to ensure alignment with company standards.
  • Procurement:
  • Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Cost Management:
  • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure all raw materials and components meet regulatory and company quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
  • Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with R&D, production, and logistics teams to forecast material needs.
  • Troubleshoot supply chain issues to minimize disruptions.
