JOB SUMMARY
The Purchasing Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the timely procurement of raw materials, packaging, and other components needed for production. The ideal candidate will collaborate with suppliers, production teams, and R&D to maintain high standards for quality, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the cosmetics or personal care industry.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements for cosmetics (e.g., FDA, EU, etc.) is a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and lead times.
- Evaluate and onboard new suppliers to ensure alignment with company standards.
- Procurement:
- Issue purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely receipt of materials.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Cost Management:
- Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Work with the finance team to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control.
- Compliance:
- Ensure all raw materials and components meet regulatory and company quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance purposes.
- Collaboration:
- Coordinate with R&D, production, and logistics teams to forecast material needs.
- Troubleshoot supply chain issues to minimize disruptions.
