Description:
PURCHASING COORDINATOR
Location: Knutsford
Hours: Monday to Friday,8.45am to 4.45pm (flexibility to work from home on Fridays)
Salary: £30,000 per annum + annual bonus

REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of three years professional experience in purchasing of products in a medium-sized company, preferably in retail and distribution and/or plastics industry
- Fluent business English (spoken, written), additional European languages welcome
- MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Material Management (e.g. SAP MM)

Responsibilities:
- Procure materials within the SCM region in the most cost-effective and timely manner, ensuring full order fulfillment
- Oversee all operational purchasing activities, including creation, monitoring, and updates, in collaboration with partners and suppliers
- Select appropriate transportation methods to ensure efficient deliveries
- Negotiate special pricing and contracts in coordination with Business Units, Sales, and the Head of Regional SCM
- Assist Inventory & Supply Managers in exception management, working with partners and suppliers to address issues and provide prompt updates to key stakeholders
- Approve partner/supplier invoices, as applicable
- Manage complaints related to damages and service issues (inbound)
- Oversee inventory levels in regional warehouses
- Handle the management of slow-moving, aged, and excess inventory
- Accountable for meeting inventory targets and performance goals
- Ensure all system processes and documentation are aligned with established delivery methodologies
- Maintain accurate data in IT systems
- Regularly report key performance metrics (KPIs)
