Responsibilities:
This position is part of our MEIA Graduate Program, which is tailor-made for talents new to the job market. Through this program, you will accelerate your career through personal development plans, local or international assignments, challenging and exciting tasks, and focused training programs over a year.
As a Purchasing Executive, you will be responsible to manage and execute operational purchasing tasks as delegated by the Purchasing Manager in line with Group Purchasing (GP) policies, principles, guidelines, and procedures for Raw Material (RM), Purchased Finished Goods (PFG), Indirect Materials(IM) and Direct Packaging Material (DPM) in close cooperation with local stakeholders and GP, enabling the company to achieve the desired delivery service to the customers.
This position reports to the Purchase & Planning Manager Manager and will be based in Musaffah, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Responsibilities:
- Place and expedite purchase orders for designated RM, PFG, or DPM categories, based on agreements made by GP category managers or other authorized personnel, in accordance with GP guidelines and procedures
- Assist Purchasing Manager in updating local parameters in Matrix in accordance with operational purchasing principles (under development)
- Assist Purchasing Manager in ensuring that supplier invoice control is carried out in line with company guidelines, relevant customs regulations and procedures are followed and facilitated, and all supplier invoices are paid within the due date for designated suppliers/categories.
- Source, select and approve suppliers for designated IM categories in close cooperation with relevant user departments (including supplier audits when relevant) Support user departments in ensuring optimal IM specifications are in place.
- Ensure best possible agreements for designated IM categories, according to the purchasing objectives, by following the Tactical Purchasing Process and utilizing relevant contract formats (including frame agreements etc)
- Implement and follow up global or regional agreements as and when relevant for the company.
- Place and follow up orders in Matrix based on agreements/contracts when relevantImplement the Spend Area Management Concept for selected IM categories
