    We are currently seeking a motivated and results oriented individual for the position of Purchasing/Inside Sales Assistant within our Specialty, Milspec, and Chain Branch, located in Burlington. This is a full time, permanent position working Monday - Friday; daytime hours reporting to the Branch Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong customer focus with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask with proven time management skills to meet multiple deadlines
  • Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Specifically MS Excel).
  • Advanced problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inventory levels by product to satisfy future sales requirements while maintaining effective asset control.
  • Responsible for the complete and accurate preparation of all documentation pertaining to the purchase and/or revisions of inventory requirements.
  • Be familiar with all relevant suppliers, their product ranges and capabilities while exploring opportunities with new suppliers for products and services.
  • Coordinate, negotiate and issue proper documentation to satisfactorily settle any claims.
  • Identify and communicate slow moving items to prevent sludge.
  • Support Purchasing /Inventory Management for all aspects of the three business units
  • Support Inside Sales for all three business units
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is provided by developing rapport with customers and suppliers
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills in dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers
