The Purchasing Manager will report to the Chief Financial Officer. The Purchasing Manager oversees purchasing activity for all companies.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration.
- Proven experience managing supply chain operations in manufacturing.
- Experience using supply chain management software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing, and negotiation terms.
- Management and leadership skills.
- Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess substantial proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities:
- Strategize and negotiate with suppliers in order to acquire most cost-effective deals and reduce procurement expenses.
- Developing specifications and requirements for products and services for the business where applicable.
- Create buying strategy taking company budget and co supplies, finding suitable vendors,
- Meet with department heads to understand the needs of the company.
- Review request for RFPs.
- Research suppliers and vendors that meets goals of company.
- Evaluate and negotiate contracts understanding price points, secure advantageous terms.
- Perform root-cause analysis for supplier commercial and delivery errors and make recommendations for changes to eliminate causes.
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure on-going feasibility.
- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Approving purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services.
- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements.
- Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
- Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods.
- Preparing procurement reports for management
