Prodrive AT’s specialities are the design; development and production of smart actuation systems, particularly in the Active Aero and Intelligent Interior domains, as well as vehicle-level programmes. Current activity includes multiple automotive Active Aero and Intelligent Interior projects in the smart actuation domain; an L7e urban delivery vehicle and active torque dynamics for military applications at vehicle-level – as well as a variety of other mobility and low-carbon programmes including hydrogen storage and hydrogen fuel cell systems.
We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to maintain positive relationships with all suppliers and coordinate with internal teams and departments regarding their supply needs, to ensure the correct parts to the required quality are sourced and delivered on time and at the required cost. They will oversee a purchasing and logistics team in their daily activities and provide guidance on purchasing, stock control and supply chain tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement suitable purchasing strategies in support of the long-term business growth aspirations.
- Manage daily purchasing activities, supervise and support team members and allocate tasks appropriately.
- Responsible for leading/supporting supplier relations and negotiations as required to ensure the business requirements are met in terms of time, quality and cost.
- Drafting and negotiation of key supplier contracts and terms.
- Ensure all purchased items meet the required specifications and standards prescribed.
- To supply cost estimates where appropriate for potential new business opportunties/projects, quantifying base assumptions used.
- To develop continuous improvement culture by working together with engineers/business development to ensure most timely and cost effective introduction of new parts/products/services
