JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement/Purchasing Associate to join our client’s team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers. You will work autonomously with minimal supervision, leveraging your experience in supply chain management to contribute to our organization’s success.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in purchasing and procurement within a supply chain environment.
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems, with experience in SAP preferred.
Strong negotiation skills, particularly in expediting options.
Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage complex procurement challenges.
Familiarity with a wide range of commodities, particularly machined parts, sheet metal parts, and electrical components.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, XLookUps, sorting, filtering).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence others.
Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Experience in contract management and compliance monitoring.

Execute procurement processes, including preparing and issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing cost proposals, and negotiating terms with suppliers.
Manage purchasing activities for a variety of commodities, including machined parts, sheet metal parts, vacuum-formed parts, hardware, and electrical components.
Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
Expedite deliveries and resolve issues related to shortages, missed deliveries, or other supply chain disruptions.
Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and compile financial reports to support procurement decisions.
Utilize Microsoft Excel for daily tasks, including pivot tables, XLookUps, sorting, and filtering.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
