  • Estimated annual base pay: $78,000(minimum) - $97,500(midpoint) - $117,000(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you’re a Purchasing Supplier Manager, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Purchasing Supplier Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that the supply base meets the required Quality, Delivery, Responsiveness, and Cost metrics for the COE. With a focus on developing and managing the supply base, this role is responsible for identifying and implementing effective tactics and strategies that align with the Commodity Strategy and site needs. By leveraging their expertise in supplier management, the Purchasing Supplier Manager can help drive operational efficiency and excellence within the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Manage supplier performance in key metrics areas including, but not limited to Quality, Delivery, Responsiveness, Cost (QDRC) and inventory
  • Drives systemic changes within the supply base and initiates actions to improve value to Woodward
  • Facilitates periodic performance reviews with key suppliers to review performance, establish corrective action plans, and ensure implementation of those action plans
  • Drives and manages supply base to ensure compliance with CoE purchased parts inventory objectives (supplier stocking programs, KANBAN, vendor managed inventory systems, etc.)
  • Drives resolution of CoE crisis management issues that involve suppliers, including expediting, recovery plans, supplier on-site visits, etc.

What We Are Looking For

  • BA/BS in Materials and Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • MA/MS in applicable field is preferred
  • APICS, CPIM certification is preferred
  • Minimum requirements for this position include 2+ years of hands-on experience in purchasing, as a buyer, purchasing manager, or similar role, with experience in multiple procurement categories, such as electronics, castings, and others. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have 2 years of experience in supplier management.
  • This position requires 25-50% travel
