Description:

POSITION

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our team of innovators who are passionate about building and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure systems. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our technology stack, from infrastructure to applications, and collaborating with development teams to improve the overall quality and reliability of our products.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible and CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Asure.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git and BitBucket.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using tools such as Ansible and CloudFormation.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts, monitoring tools, and logging systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with infrastructure and tooling.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
  • Ensure system security, compliance, and governance by implementing and maintaining security controls, access controls, and auditing mechanisms.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise system resources using ElasticSearch tools such as APM, Beats, and Kibana dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including infrastructure diagrams, deployment guides, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Participate in agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and code reviews.
