JOB DESCRIPTION

The Planning Analyst is focused on supporting the technical aspects of comprehensive and goals-based planning. They will work under the general oversight of PWM Planners and Strategists to developing plans and customized solutions that meet clients’ goals and objectives. Prepares in-depth analysis of client financial statements using appropriate financial planning analyses, tools, and materials. Prepares financial plans, and related analysis in support of client meetings. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Works with customers to understand each customer’s normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Up to three years of related experience

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Good knowledge of departmental operations/policies and U.S. Bank products and services
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong client facing skills
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions, interpret data and resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications
  • Well-developed analytical skills
  • Pursuit of professional credentials (CFP, CFA, etc.) a plus
