In this role, you’ll work in our IBM Client Innovation Center (CIC), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. These centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Cloud Foundation: Support day-to-day development of the Cloud Foundation platform, focusing on enhancing infrastructure and internal tools.
- Automate Repetitive Tasks: Lead efforts in automating repetitive tasks (SRA - standard requests automation) and integrate automation solutions with orchestrators like SuperMaestro.
- Extend Internal Products: Work on the development and further extension of internal products, such as the IP address management solution, to improve functionality and efficiency.
- Develop Cloud Foundation Plugins: Support the development of plugins for various foundations (e.g., data foundation, AI foundation) within the cloud infrastructure.
- Manage Containers and CI/CD Pipelines: Create and optimize Docker files, manage images, and contribute to GitHub workflows for continuous integration and delivery.
- Collaborate with Security and IAM: Work with IAM tools like Okta to ensure secure access management and integrate it within the cloud foundation architecture when necessary.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proficiency in Python and Go: Strong development experience with Python and Go, especially in cloud environments and infrastructure automation.
- Cloud Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms, including experience with cloud services, automation, and infrastructure management.
- Containerization: Proficient in creating and managing Docker containers, composing Docker files, and working with container images in a production environment.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Understanding of Terraform and ideally Terragrunt for managing cloud infrastructure as code, enabling repeatable and scalable deployments.
- Scripting Skills: Strong skills in Bash/shell scripting for automation tasks and infrastructure management.
- GitHub Workflows and IAM: Experience with GitHub workflows for CI/CD processes, and knowledge of IAM systems (Okta) for secure identity and access management.
