SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least two years of professional experience in software or data engineering.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL tools, relational databases, and/or SQL.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The successful Python Developer will join my client’s Core Technology Team as a critical contributor to the development and scaling of the firm’s data platform, a foundational component of its research infrastructure. This role entails responsibility for creating new research datasets through data cleaning, normalization, and integration into the platform, in addition to enhancing the platform’s underlying architecture. Working within a small, focused team, the Python Developer will collaborate closely with colleagues and end users, gaining full-stack data experience and making an immediate impact across the firm.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop efficient, scalable infrastructure for data and research processes.
• Implement reliable workflows for processing both structured and unstructured financial datasets.
• Evaluate dataset coverage and quality, and build and maintain reusable libraries for data analysis.
• Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers to enhance and leverage the data platform.
