Location of work: Lynchwood, Peterborough
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm with flexibility to fit business hours as required

We are looking for a Python Developer to join our fast-paced team and help bring our visions to life.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, you’ll play a key role in the next phase of our system development. You will work with the wider development team to optimize and build our application, ensure standards are applied consistently, and build solid, reliable and fast code to help build our future. This role is a perfect opportunity for a talented individual who understands both cloud infrastructure and code.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Python applications.
· Design and implement serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Chalice.
· Manage and optimize MySQL databases.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
· Review and provide feedback on colleagues’ code through pull requests.
· Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues.
· Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
· Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
· Highly proficient in Python.
· Commercial AWS experience, ideally using Lambda and CloudFormation.
· Proficiency in MySQL database management.
· Hands-on experience with Chalice.
· Solid working experience of GIT and CI/CD pipelines.
· Awareness and understanding of internet standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.
· Excellent communication and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with other programming languages and frameworks.
· Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
· Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
