Q.A. MANAGER

at  Pilgrims Europe

We are currently looking for a QA Manager to join and lead our Quality Assurance team at our site in Andover.

You will ideally be an experienced QA Manager with Food Manufacturing experience, looking to take on your next challenge. You will preferably have experience working within a compliance / standard driven environment - BRC, ISO.

• You will be responsible for the management of the site Quality Assurance team, ensuring food safety, quality and specification compliance is adhered to.
• You will take a lead role in customer visits and third-party audits.
• You will coordinate CCP validation and verification activities and ensure that calibration and equipment verification schedule is in place and non-conforming equipment is managed.
• You will take ownership over the site concession system; pest control activities and non-conforming materials is in place.
• You will support the Technical Manager and have knowledge of labelling and packaging verification systems.
• You will be an active member of the internal audit team and instrumental in ensuring that start up checks, fabrication audits and glass/hard plastics audits are delivering control.
• You will also be involved in implementation of new systems and technology across the site.

Ideally you will possess a

• Degree/HND in food science or equivalent,
• Level 3 Food Safety,
• Level 3 HACCP Lead Auditor ISO (9000 or 22000) and have knowledge of Intermediate Microbiology and Sensory Evaluation.
