The QA Analyst position is a hybrid remote position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office three days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.
Carries out procedures to ensure information systems products and services meet company standards and customer requirements. Reviews project activity to determine established processes are followed to minimize risks. Has the skills to utilize documented instructions related to control standards, methodology guidelines and testing techniques. Can organize, perform, and manage testing assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Have bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems or two-year degree and commensurate work experience.
  • Have excellent written and oral communications, report writing, problem solving and technical skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Prefer experience with DB2 SQL, Oracle SQL, Linux, Windows, Mainframe TSO / ISPF, iSeries.
  • Has one to two years of experience in methodology, research, analysis, and reporting.
  • Has knowledge of project review techniques in addition to knowledge of requirements definition, design, construction, testing, and implementation phases of methodology for both application development and infrastructure areas.
  • Ability to work with Linux, Windows, zOS, IBM i environments.
  • Has Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint experience.
  • Has one to two years of experience in test case development and using various testing techniques.
  • Prefer experience with Jira project management software.
  • Prefer experience with IntelliJ IDEA, Jenkins, Bamboo, Selenium

Responsibilities:

  • Review development of systems during the feasibility, requirements, design, construction, testing, and implementation phases of project life cycles.
  • Collaborate with teammates to determine if executed testing techniques provide adequate testing coverage.
  • Communicate with customers to develop test cases for projects and applications.
  • Assist developers and technicians with writing test plans.
  • Perform manual testing.
  • Monitor and assist with development of automated testing.
  • Provide input for enhancements to the development standards and methodology guidelines.
  • Perform audits of projects to determine if methodology and testing guidelines were followed.
  • Prepare reports resulting from system reviews and advise management of risk factors for project implementations.
  • Validate user acceptance of life cycle deliverables.
  • Participate in system and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform reviews of submitted changes queued for production deployment.
  • Support change control and production promotion activities.
  • Provide on call support.
  • Perform post implementation surveys.
  • Support internal and external audit requests.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing.
  • Perform administration of software applications aligned with the Quality Assurance team.
  • Log time and information accurately in a time-tracking system.
  • Acquire new skills for enhancing job performance.
  • Work independently and with other teammates.
  • Perform other duties assigned as requested or required.
